Director & Treasurer / Secretary

Rick grew up in the Grays Harbor area of Washington and spent many of his adult years working in the logging industry. Rick had been riddled with the life dominating sin of addiction for a good half of his life before he decided enough was enough and wanted to be freed from this bondage forever! He heard of Mountain Ministries through a family member of his childhood best friend, and in that moment he knew that giving God a year of his life to transform him from the inside out was worth it to gain a brighter future. Little did he know just how big God’s purpose would be for him on the very property he found complete healing and freedom! Rick graduated from the program in 2023 and immediately was offered the role of being the Assistant Director, which he accepted graciously. He knew from there on out his purpose in life was to serve The Lord and lead others into this new found freedom he had found here.

One year later he met Ashley through online dating, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. From the very first conversation had over the phone, they both knew their meeting was nothing short of God’s timing and that they were made for one another! After six months of long distance and traveling back and forth every weekend, they got married in Fay’s garden in October of 2024, leading Ashley to move up to the property of Mountain Ministries. Before meeting Rick, Ashley had been living in Junction City Oregon where she worked as the shipping coordinator at Spot Hogg Archery. Although Ashley had never struggled with the life dominating sin of addiction, she felt a deep love for those who did and after learning of Mountain Ministries through Rick she knew God was calling her there. Shortly after they were married, Ashley was asked to step into the role of being the Treasurer / Secretary, which included managing the ministries finances.

In January of 2025 Rick was asked by the board of Mountain Ministries to step in as the head Director and assume the role he is currently in. Six months later they learned they were expecting a baby, and in April of 2026 they welcomed their sweet daughter Ivey into the world! Together Rick and Ashley lead a team of volunteer staff, and make it their priority to make sure every moving part of this program is running as seamlessly as possible. Their mission is to love God, love people, and make many disciples of Jesus!
